"Art is our soul, Education our goal"
We have undertaken this project as a labour of love, motivated by our love of art and our desire to enrich and uplift the lives of disadvantaged children the world over.
Ganesh Arts Trust aim to promote the arts as a means to provide a living and well-being to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. In the West art education is provided in most schools and widely accepted that in order to create a happy and well-rounded individual, education within the arts is essential. Many of the children within our school are orphaned, from one parent families or freed from child labour. We have observed how the children develop an incredible resilience to their austere backgrounds and how, within our art classes, they gradually transform. Their response to a creative atmosphere, once stimulated, natural and irresistible and without confrontation or touching a nerve, their lives are transformed.
Within our 'home from home' in India, we wish to share the fulfillment we have found through the arts and share it with the children whom we have watched grow up over the last 12 years; and many more to come. That is our goal!
