"The Pondicherry Movement"

We first met our artists from Pondicherry in 2001 during a visit to their exhibitions. We immediately recognised their exceptional talent and ability to spearhead our free art education programunder the umbrella of Ganesh Arts and started collecting their work soon after they graduated from their BFA and MFA's.

We visit them in their homes, paint in their studios and they visit and join our classes with the children.

Our friendship and understanding have laid the foundations of trust, allowing for all our aspirations to bear fruit.

Painting from their homes within humble surroundings, inspired by the lives and works of the old masters and painting traditions; a generation of talented and aspiring artists have converged in Pondicherry; breathing new life into a new generation of artists.
